IE General STOP in Station Configurator

WernerHimself Posts: 17 Rating: (2)	Friends, I have a PC using an ethernet card for communication with an S7-400 PLC. In the station configuration editor I add a IE General as I normally do, only this time the RUN/STOP status says STOP. Whatever I change, like IP adresses or index, the STOP does not disappear. A second ethernet card (later added via USB) has the same problem. This card on another PC works fine. Any suggestions?

WernerHimself Posts: 17 Rating: (2)	Hi Umencho, Thanks for your quick reaction. In the thread you refer to you answer with a step sequence. In step 2 the IE General is placed in configured mode. When I do this at first it seems to work but then it fails. The configuration console says: ----- The module's registration for the configured mode was canceld and it was removed from the Station Configuration Editor. ----- The Station Configuration Editor gives me the following events: ----- Index 1: No valid configuration data found Index 1: The database doens noet contain a system SDB Index 1: Component database invalid A default SDB was created for the proxy with index 1 The CP with index 1 is not operational! Index 1: Componet STOP due to PG command ----- Index 1 is the IE General Any idea?? Thanks in advance.

In Configurating Console put for ethernet card not yet configurired. Restart the PC. Download the project from previous post , open in Simatic Manager , rename the PC Station with Your name, In Hardware config change the IP Address. In PG/PC Interface put PCinternal local. In Configuration console for Your card putthatthecardisalreadyconfigurated. In Station Manager put in Index 1 OPC Server, In Index 2 put IE General. Restart the PC. In Station Configuration Editor I get error after restarting the PC: -------- The CP with index 2 is not operational! Error 0x0320 occured. -------- Any idea what this means: not operational? The ethernet card is working fine. Thanks again

And something else: When You make project in PG/PC interface you must put PC internal (local). After downloading the project with connection in OPC server and want to see some data with OPC Scout change the PG/PC interface.
