Dear Sir/Madam,

can a S7-300 controller communicate with aIEC 61850gateway over S7 communication bus (Profibus / Profinet)? In theIEC_61850_for_SIMATIC_v05_en.pdf (https://www.industry.siemens.com/industrysolutions/global/Documents/it4industry/downloads/products/IEC_61850_for_SIMATIC_v05_en.pdf), on page 5, it is drawn like that it can. But, S7-300 is not mentioned in the IEC 61850 gatewaytechnical data(https://www.industry.siemens.com/industrysolutions/global/en/IT4Industry/products/simatic_add_ons/iec-meets-simatic/iec_gateway/Pages/Default.aspx).
