Hi First be sure your Siprotec is well configured and is working for IEC61850. Use IEC Browser, a free software for browsing any IEC61850 device, and check if you can see all structure inside Siprotec. http://siemens.siprotec.de/download_neu/software/IEC_Browser/IEC61850_Browser.zip Install and open this software, click on the button Connect and insert the IP address of Siprotec. Be sure to disable firewall (if you are in an isolated network) or allow IEC Browser and port 102to access ethernet. If you can see a tree with several information - Logical Devices and Logical Nodes - it means your device is readyto communicate. What PCS7 will do is the same procedure as IEC Browser does: browse for information inside Siprotec network card. Also, read this post to see the disadvantages of using S7/PCS7 blocks: /tf/WW/en/Posts/29139 You get more info at www.siprotec.com Mike J |
