Hello v.kerstholt it seems that Siemens has changed the way complex Block parameters (e.g. Structures, UDT etc.) are accessed inside an FC/FB for the 1500 (I haven't tried so myself yet, soI take your word and that of the FAQ for it). Doing so in a 300 or 400 will certainly increase the memory requirements (and runtime) of the FC/FB consderably as you already observedand you can find the reasons for this in the thread Shall UDT make the difference in CPU Scan Time? I hope this helps |

Hello, using optimized data storage you can run your programs on the S7-1200/1500 at optimum performance. In this way you achieve a cycle time that is shorter on average by a factor of 3. See the FAQ in the internet in refer to the differents between standard and optimized block access: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/67655611 With best regards |
