If in CM1242-5 side configuring "output" transfer area; communication is not happening. Module is showing erorr

 we are also doing master slave communication with AB PLC using same module.(CM 1242-5)

But facing strange issue with communication.

If in CM1242-5 side configuring "input"  transfer area; everything working OK. We are able to receive the data from AB.

If in CM1242-5 side configuring "output"  transfer area; communication is not happening. Module is showing erorr, diag buffer attached.

Nb:- Based on IN or OUT area we configured in TIA, accordingly changing the telegram in AB side.

Any suggestions ? Raised SR, as per hotline(Asia Hotline) they cannot support AB side issue. What could be the possible reasons ?

how is the configuration on AB-side?

Is there anything projected as input?

I don´t know how to do it in AB, but it seem that the output-configuration does not match the config on AB-side.

I have screenshot of the same. GSD is installed and INPUT/OUTPUT area are configured. Length of telegram, IN->OUT Or OUT-> IN order is matching. Still facing issue.

if you can, try connect with another S7 via Profibus. Then you can know quickly where the problem is. Simply if you really don't know if oposite side is ok, hard to say what's wrong.

Yes, It's already tried with Siemens PLC and found that working ok. Problem coming only with AB , that too if configuring output telegram in s7 1200 side..

now I remember my very old project where my S7 was Slave to GeFanuc PLC. No luck that time, nevermind we need set lower speed as 19.2 because GeFanuc. Then I was changed DP profile type to DP/FMS (hope good remember) and after download changes all was working correctly. Maybe this can be my sugestion to test. I expect you have selected DP profile that of course can expect some 'stadards or compatibility' which I expect with masters or slaves like S7 or distributed systems. try experiment with other type of profile.

Update: strange to me that diagnostic buffer, can you post how you configure that I/O transfer areas? Zip pictures and attach, looks like some problem with Output area.

maybe another sugestion can be set that area of 16 bytes as UNIT (also I had this system) not as total length. Another question, I see 2 DP modules, no any overwrites or address mixing expect, only for sure. Simply this output area Q128 is mentioned in that diagnostic buffer. Try set UNIT as consistency, simply I don't know how AB set/read this internally although it is set as 16 bytes sequence.
