IGBT Failure in the power block of Sinamic S120 CM

Participants,

I have faced IGBT bust/blown problem in

MOTOR MODULE SINAMICS S120 CM

Power block part# 6SL3352-1AE41-2FA1

all fuses blown in Motor module,

line1phase IGBT busted,

& Fiber optic connector found out of its sockeckt,

be notedthis is Hoist drive ofship to shore port cranes

working on 3AC 1260A

i am facing this problem after 04 year,

still i am looking for the root cause & valuable adviceof this failure,

few are some points that i have observed,

electrical room temperature/humidity could be one reason for this faliure,

Fiber optic connector missing could be because of theshock of busted IGBTs,

unfortunately i dont had the spare power block,

so i started reparing work on line1/phae 1 power block

because i have some descrete parts for this power block.

i have changed control card with new one,

IGBT were obselete i.e part # FZ2400 R12KE3_B9_S1

so i have replaced both IGBT block with available stock IGBT

i.e pat# FZ1800 R12KF4_S1

as i calculted my peak current was approx.1600 A,thats why i took this decision to use this IGBT,

after that my crane worked for 10/15 miniute but once i swiched off and restarted i faced the fault 30022 in parameter r949[0] =1(i.e link to line1/phas1 short )

but IGBT and all compenant of the power blockwere OK,

i have interchanched the line1 power block with line2,

again it work for 10/15 minute & same fault accured once i switched off & restarted the power, but problem shifted in lin2 r949[0]=2(i.e link to line2/phas2 short )

this showed that the problem only in the power block

now question is this

all component are origional (i.e capacior, 2 resitor of 4.7k, control card & C.T)

only IGBT are littel bit lesser rating in line 1

So

why it work for 10/15 minute??

why we cant use littel bit lesser IGBT in power block??

is it required any change in expetrt list or parameter set,

if yes

please advice what change require to do to solve this issue,

Similar incident has happened in our plant on 04.05.2017, All the 3 IGBTs in both the power blocks have blasted. The incident happened during restoration of power after an unscheduled power interruption. We are under AMC with Siemens. They are attending the problem but root cause is not known.
