IM151-7 CPU VS PLC

Hello, IM151-7 is a CPU which can be work with central IO modules (ET200-S) and can work with remote IO stations via profibus. For any problem, there are not a unique solution. But may be there are only one optimum solution. ET200S has advantage in its size, Hot Swapping feature which is not applicable for S7-300 PLC. Another feature is starter modules that can be inserted on the same IO racks. So, to select the optimum solution, you have to know what are the requirements first and how could you realize these requirments. You can choose between many options and then select the cheapest solution. Hope this helps.

Hello, Siemens don't like to publish prices online. Even for list prices. Moreover the discount factor depends on your country. So, the unique way to get prices is to contact your local Siemens representitive.
