IM151-8 PN/DP CPU

k.k Posts: 40 Rating: (0)	HI, Wheather Et200s IM151-8 PN/DP CPU can be configured & used for as a Profibus DP slave with CPU functions. In Hardware configuration i can't able access to select as a DP slave... The application is,In Process Plant we have S7417-H CPU with profibus DP master module so the same master module have to be communicate with IM151-8 PN/DP CPU module for controls..( IM151-8 CPU is seperately used for to control raw material handling machines)

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 5/31/2023 Posts: 2966 Rating: (1025)	Hello k.k the IM151-8 PN/DP CPU can be a Profinet I/O Controller, Profinet I/O device (aka Profinet I-Slave) or Profibus DP Master but can NOT be a Profibus DP Slave (you'd need theIM151-7 CPU for that). What you can do though is this: Add the Profibus DP Master module (6ES7138-4HA00-0AB0) to your IM151-8. Link it to a DP/DP coupler (6ES7 158-0AD01-0XA0) Link the other side of your DP/DP coupler to your S7-400 H system viaa Y-Link. I hope this helps
