import excel file in standard program

doedel Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello, I make standard machines with different loads. Now I try to keep the program complete standard for the whole range of machines. There are only a few differences between the machines, like the stroke of cylinder, tekst in the display for type of the machine, etc. All small changes. Is it possible to import an excel file depending on the load of the machine to set these variables? Thanks in advange.

Hello, Generally we should know what type of controller you want to program with TIA Portal.My suggestion is to make a template of data structure (UDT for s7300/400).Copy the template in a DB(or just create similar cells in DB)initialize each cell for each machine mode of operation.In case of necessity of any mode, you can use indirect addressing or binary switches. doedel Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello, I just tested it and it looks perfect! We have 5 different type of machines. Now I made 5 different UDT's and loaded the first in the DB1. This was exactly where I was looking for! Now I can load the specific UDT depending on the type of machine. Thank you very much for your help! Kind Regards, Doedel
