Indirect assignment of byte address for DB

Peter L Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hello Everybody Please can anybody help with the following; I am collecting data in the format of double word and storing this information in a DB, at present I am using a counter, compare and move function to assign the data to specific locations inthe DB. My question is how can Isequentially increasethe DB address area so that I can store the data in the correct locations. Without resorting to writing 100s of lines as previously described. I do not want to move all the data only the location for the new data. Your help is greatly appreciated Kind Regards P. lovell

pici_c Posts: 80 Rating: (2)	maybe you can try to create an array of double, then the index of the array can be addressed indirectly, so you can place the new data to the next array element. pici_c

DB name followed by . followed by Array name followed by [ [ indirect address location ie MW20] For example DB114. motor[MW20] This would denote DB114, array name motor, address=value in MW20 Your help is greatly appreciated Peter
