marko23 Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Hello, i have connected few inductive sensors to plc 24V input. When 5 sensors are active, the indication is turned on on this inputs, but when i have more then 5 sensor activated, then all inputs indication are turned off. Example: 5 pneumatic valves are opened, indication is turned on. When i open 2 more valves then all indication turned off. Can somebody help me with this problem? Plc s7-1200 + module 16DI 24V

0_Einstein Diamond Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 3/21/2025 Posts: 15745 Rating: (2490)	Why is the plc PE / ground terminal not connected? Is the 0V for the 24V supply bonded / connected to PE/ground? What size power supply do you have?

marko23 Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	PLC is connected to 24V, 0V and ground (forgot to draw). Plc and sensors are on different supply. Power supply is 24V DC, 100W I have two supplys, one for plc and module, and second for sensor. Everyhing works fine with 5 sensor activated, problem is when are 7 and more sensors are activated.

If not, you can probably measure the voltage between 0V on the 2 supplies and see it change as you activate more sensors. marko23 PLC is connected to 24V, 0V and ground (forgot to draw). marko23 Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Everything is grounded. When we measure voltage on sensor output signal, the voltage is U = 23.7 V. 5 activated sensors - works fine 6 sensors - indication (PLC input diode) blink 7 and more activated sensors - indication is turned off. Light on sensor is turned on.

What is the voltage at the digital input for each sensor as you start with 0 activated up to 7 or more activated? marko23 Everything is grounded.
