Industrial ethernert connector 6GK1901-0DB10-6AA0

Soterios Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	We have purchased 32 off M12 D-code plugs 6GK1901-0BD10-6AA0 for the X208PRO industrial switch. We have triedmany times toconnect to the standard profinet cable 6XV 1848 2AH10but had no luck. Tried Siemens UK for support but could not provide a solution other than throw those away and purchase newer alternative 6GK1901-0DB20-6AA0. Though this is a solution it is a very expensive one. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I am not sure but it is right that you have a FC Cable (6XV1840...)and the FC Plug (..DB20..)is the type of connector to use. I do not know why Siemens is not able to withdrawal these connectors, especially if they are not used... but this would be something you have to clarify with your local Siemens contact person. Would you mind to explainshortly what kind of problems you experienced while you tried to use the FC cable with the Standard Plug? Best regards J_Bell

Soterios Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Two things were happening. Either the wires bend or the pins did not pierce the insulation. We followed the instructions to the letter. To me it seems that the item is not fit for the cable. Was it purchased for another supplier to fill a gap? Certainly the ney generation of plugs is excellent but I do not see the need for a duplicate purchase. Thanks Soterios
