You could make the I/O field Output only, then in Mouse Click event, make a Popup windows appear that asks for the password in a I/O Field then make something like this on the OK button of the Popup Window:

I want to do that on S7-1200 dc/dc/dc .In  MW512 - Word location,  usually   where will be written 4 digit integer number, by Personal computer  -Ethernet, as Daily machine password

The HMI KTP700 basic PN. 

In the properties of output field writhes :"this object has no properties".

Please, program example because except Ladder I dont have other knowledge.

Actually as I understand is necessary to create  i/o field and set as output. 

Thats OK is but the next to make POPUP window, write script etc foe me is something new and I dont know. can someone send to me sample project to see how to do this

Hello to all forum users,

After 2 day learning and web browsing I know that , pop up window is possible only in Comfort 

panels, I use only Simatic Basic panels, generally  KTP 700 PN.

So I m begging some experienced forum member to tell me, is it possible Authorization password

to  be changed by PLC MW512 tag, which tag I will change by PC profinet connectecd.

If there's other better way  to protect 4 digit password in MW512 ,I/O field please tell to me.

I am having difficulty understanding the problem statement. Several options are available to you to add security on the HMI -- even if it is a 'basic' model. The most straightforward is being explained (roughly) with the attached image.

I encourage you to study manuals for full information.
Evaluate if this is what you are in need of.

What causes confusion for me is the possible things you might be asking:

1. The user should pass the password before he can change the value. (Represented by the image.)
   
   
2. Hide the value from the user. The user can only view the value if he has entered the correct password.
   
   
3. An external partner (PC) provides the password of the day. The value can only be accessed if the user uses the external password.

In my project I have local network : S71200 dc/dc/dc , HMI KTP700 basic PN and Personal windows  

OS which every day writes in MW512 "Daily password", 

In HMI , I have parameter setting page, parameters should be Visible and variable.

When Setter person want to change and touch the I/O field should be approved after entering correct

daily password .

I know the best id by Authorization but I dont know "Is it possible the Password be the MW512"

Covid-19:
I hope for you the best on getting that 2nd negative test. Those with light symptoms, the isolation is the worst part of being infected. Some symptoms (ex. loss of taste) stay longer even after the infection does not show in tests. Do be careful.. we had a local case of someone who got infected a 2nd time within 2 months. What you ask is a little more complicated for the basic HMI. You will have to have the PLC in the middle. Several methods are available.

There is one io-field that can take the password. The io-field is read by the PLC. The PLC compares the number to the correct password. The PLC reacts by doing one of the following:
1. The PLC triggers the secret screen page which hosts read-write io-fields.
2. The PLC hides the read-only io-fields and "unhide" the read-write fields.
3. The PLC "unhides" a button that allows the user to go to the secret screen page.

{unhide = to make visible}

(1) is a bit too involved to make a quick description. Attached is a hint that can be used for (2) or (3). The picture shows an io-field being revealed when the PLC says so. The tag that makes the io-field visible can be INT or BOOL; BOOL is used here.

I'm considering, at work page all I/O field to be set as output (for parameter preview and make another same page  loading by I/O field and button on the preview screen page.

Hello.

The tags can be visible. The idea is to toggle between two sets of io-fields.

Please try the following steps..

1. Create PLC tags:
- myInt of type INT with MW1000 address
- myBool of type BOOL with M1010.0 address

2. Place io-field #1 on the HMI:
- show tag myInt
- read-only type
- make background colour to red
- visibility when myBool is 0 (see picture, but change both 1 -> 0)

3. Place io-field #2 on the HMI:
- show tag myInt
- read-write type
- make background colour to green
- visibility when myBool is 1 (see picture)

4. Test with hardware or simulate.

5. Place io-field #1 and #2 on top of each other.

6. Test with hardware or simulate.

I worked all day and find my solution. Because in all my projects I have 1 -3 setup pages, my 

solution is to make 2 of each setup pages. In preview pages all I/O fields are set Output. 

There's hidden button -is becomes visible for time period only when entered  password =daily password.

Pressing the button load, the shadow page.

For password entering I ve made password  setup page.

Reading your post this morning , now 08:16am, I get new idea and make other sollution

as you tell to me.

No need 2 screens - enough 1, but for each parameter 2 i/o fields:

Output visible when password NOK

Input / Output visible when password OK

Both should be at same screen position.
