Installation of wincc rtm advanced v12 sp1 failed

Spiz Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone Just tried to install the SP1 vesion of wincc runtime advanced V12, on windows-7 64bit pc, and I get a message that the V12 of this is not installed. Thing is that it is installed and it it running ok. Anybody has any idea? Maybe I do something wrong? Mind you that the rest of the V12 SP1 software was installed ok(S7 proff and Wincc adv) Thanks for your attention One more thing . The runtime button in the TIA is not enabled for me to use.Only the simulation is active Thanks

TomDeWou Platinum Expert Joined: 11/15/2006 Last visit: 5/7/2021 Posts: 1319 Rating: (168)	The SP1 for WinCC RUNTIME Adv. needs an installed WinCC Runtime Adv - which you obviously do not have installed. The point here is: after installation of WinCC Advanced V12 (Engineering), there is indeed an entry for WinCC Runtime Adv. in the installed software. But this is due to the RT Simulator which comes with the Engineering. So if you installed SP1 for WinCC Adv and STEP 7 you do not need the SP1 for RT as long as you do not have installed a WinCC Runtime package seperately.

Do you just want to simulate the Panel - than the simulation is available with the engineering. Otherwise you need to buy it if not yet done. Contact your local sales representative.
