Hello all,

I am using TIA 13 SP1 wincc professional. I directly installed this setup without v13 previously installed. After setup completed it shows error, I am not sure it is of license or any other. Attached is screenshot and logfiles.

I open new project or existing project, all are compiling without error but simulation is not starting saying 'failed to start simulation'. There is no error in project or windows evenlog.

Please suggest. I already installed this setup twice.

You are right. There is another logfile for SQL installation error. Here it is attached.

Yes I had installed wincc advanced v13 SP1 and Wincc V7.3 as well.

I uninstalled both of them and then also uninstalled their SQL instances.

Then I started the installation of wincc professional.

Currently there is Wincc flexible 2008 SP3 still installed.

After uninstalling again and removing all the instances of sql and also uninstalling Wincc flexible, I was able to install Wincc prof V13 Sp1 without errors. But still I cannot start simulation in wincc prof. It is working OK for wincc advanced.

No error information in TIA, just says 'failed to start simulation' and no errors are there in windows evenlog. I also attached installed software list. I dont know what is the problem but I am doing this fourth time.

Is it necessarry to install Wincc prof. V13 as well before installing SP1? Setup is not giving any error.

New question published by sna8810_0s is split to a separate thread with the subject Uninstalled v14 and installed WinCC Pro v13Sp1 - After that get error: Failed to start simulation.
