Instance memory problem with S7315 PNDP

pezzetti Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	hi I have installed a backplaine with a cpu 315 pndp with 1 card (SM 321 32 DI 6ES7321-1BL00-0AA0) plus 1 card (SM 322 32 DO 6ES7322-1BL00-0AA0) and 3 cards (SM 331 8 AI 6ES7331-7KF02-0AB0) plus 1 cards (SM 332, 8AO 6ES7332-5HF00-0AB0). The problem is that the analog cards are not working at all neither in INPUT nor in OUTPUT and the digital have no problem at all. Can be the cpu dammaged? thanks for your support

pezzetti Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	yes i tried also to change it with only the analog cards (1 each), check the memory and everything.. Never experienced that in 10 years... I also check the hardware cabling connections.. thanks

I also have some questions, Are you trying to see the values of analog input cards in VAT? How do you define AI signals in symbol table? IW or PIW? How do you apply analog input signals? How do you test analog outputs? How do you apply values? How do you measure the analog output signal? Did you try to open hardware configuration in SIMATIC MANAGER and go online (Station-->Open online)and see modules' status? Is there anything wrong in diagnostic buffer?

pezzetti Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Dear H-H, the analog cards are not working at all (with the AO no voltage change and with the AI no signal get to the plc while changing the voltage change with a wave simu to any input channel)..... Are you trying to see the values of analog input cards in VAT? yes of course.. How do you define AI signals in symbol table? IW for input and Q for output How do you apply analog input signals? wave simulator (1 and 20 pins +/-24 VDC) and 2-3for ch1 4-5 ch2... How do you test analog outputs? a simply voltmeter from the pins 2-5 for 1 channel 6-9 for the second one etct ect How do you apply values? from VAT with column especially design for that. How do you measure the analog output signal? volt meter Did you try to open hardware configuration in SIMATIC MANAGER and go online (Station-->Open online)and see modules' status? Yes no problem seen, we also changed the configuration projet configuring only analog AI and AO and nothing else but the cards were not funcitoning, we also changed with spare cards but nothing changed.. Is there anything wrong in diagnostic buffer? NO Thanks for helping me

Would you please check process image size? you can check it in hardware configuration-->CPU properties --> Cycle/Clock memory tab. The default is 128. Change addresses of analog modules to be lying beneath 128 and try to access them as IW and QW. If they are outside the process image, you will have to access them as PIW and PQW. Do you have any code in OB1 or OB35? Try to move MW to PQW. Try to move MW to QW. Try to vary values in these MW and see what's happening in analog channels.
