integration of STEP7/WinCC project in to PCS7 multiproject..Alarms time stamps

Deleted User Posts: 767 Rating: (69)	Hi all, I have got a PCS7 ver 6.1 system and a Step7/WinCC system and I want to integrate the WinCC/Step7 system in to PCS7 so that PCS7 OS can read all thevariables(have done that part)and alarms(the problem)directly from STEP7 system CPU. We cannot do any downloads or modifications on the Step7/WinCC system. All we have got is Step7 project (uploaded directly from PLC) and WinCC project. Until nowI have i) Managed to connect our PCS7 OS directly to the Step7/WinCC system CPU over TCP/IP simply by importing all the tags (including *#RawEvent tag) using Tag import export tool to our PCS7 system and is reading correct values directly from Ftep7/WinCC system CPU (414). ii) We want to generate the alarms in PCS7 system using the #RawEvent tag so that we can get the time stamps on PCS 7 system from the STEP7/Wincc system CPU. Regarding this one problem we can see is that there is a conflict in the alarm numbers of the two systems. Now I just wonder 1) How can I avoid this conflict keeping in mind that I can't make any changes in Step7/WinCC system. 2) At what level PCS7 access this #Rawevent coz after import will all the alarms from Step7/WinCC gonna work straight away or would it require more modifications. 3) If I will generate all the 2000 messages manuallly using the memory bit addresses they will get the time stamps from OS and not from AS.. How can I read the AS time stamps more specifically translation of that #RawEvent Tag of raw data type. I am also attaching the imported alarm lists from PCS7 and WinCC/Step7 system. Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	The message numbers are assigned when the CPU is inserted in the HW config. After that it is not possible to change. How about creating a new project/station in your PCS7 V6.1 project and then manually copying the blocks etc from the Step7/WinCC project ? Did you upload the HW config also?

Deleted User Posts: 767 Rating: (69)	Hi, I made the step7/winCC project the part of multiproject(there are13 projects in there with three redundant system)but I can't compile it..u know its Step7 basically so can't go to this way(thats I think what u mean by copy). The step7 system is up and running with its own OS. Just one more info all the alrms are generated by Alaarm_8 block in Step7. I have asked this also with A&D support UK but they r not accepting it that siemens don't have any solution for the latest versions(almost) their own products integration..TIA??????. But still I have not got a useful reply from them.

I almost have given up on the integration with the same time stamps I cann't see anyway of doing it coz OS compile does not read in the messages from the step7 project even when I set the compile mode to AS-Compile instead of area-compile and added the step7 cpu for compilation then Os only havegenerated some system related messages for step7 project and it is notgenerateing the messages from Alarm_8(sfb34) block. The onlyother wayI can think about is if we look at theOS compile log (transfer log) it does say PLC obj No. (message numbers in PLC) and OS obj No. (Message numbers in the alarm logging). At the moment I know the PLC obj number.Ifby some way we canmanually generatethe OS obj No and assign the PLC message numbers to them butdon't know how . Also have got a negativeresponse from A&D support(expected result).

I needed a few sample S7 blocks that generate the alarms. But I can create my own S7 block for testing. I fully understand the problem now and it is quite interesting. I'll attempt a test project. Let's see.
