Documentation for the LMV52 shows a possibilty of Modbus RTU connections; see the screeshot below, taken from the LMV52 product descritption:

Now:

- what experience do you have with Modbus RTU communications?

- what CPU are you planning to use for this project (the hardware and software requirements will be different from one CPU family to another)? Please give us the part number of the CPU, and tell us what programming software (and version) you will be using.
