Hello nyi I'd say thereare surely good reasons that you experienced network problems when “accidently” connecting the two Profibus Networks of a H system together (btw, how did you do this “accidently”?). Things to note are: - Each I/O station on the redundant Profibus Networks (e.g. ET200M, Y-Link, DP/PA Link) has a redundant Profibus Interface module (e.g .two IM153-2's) in it. - EachIM153-2 pair supports DP Slave redundancy (one is the active interface the other one is waiting to take over when needed), each IM153-2 in the pair is "configured" though and they both have thesame DP Slave address. By connecting the two Profibus Networks of theH system together, you'll end up with double Node addresses on the now "single" DP Network which ought to give you problems, so you are better off keeping the two Networks seperate. I hope this helps |
