Interesting Problem with ET 200S modules

SMART DEXTER Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	I faced Interesting problem with ET200S used in Deep hole Drilling machine with 840 D . There on IM 151-1 module there was BF(Bus fault) LED was blinking. When checked Profibus cable on X101 and X102 port cable was showing continuity with all accesible nodes . But when online two nodes were not showing ONLINE . so I replaced both the links of Profibus (routed outside) and nodes were healthy . And faults were cleared . BUT I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND IF ALL CABLE LINKS (OF PROFIBUS) WERE SHOWING PROPER CONTINUITY STILL IT WAS NOT COMMUNICATING . ANY PROCEDURE TO TEST PROFIBUS CABLE ????????? DEXTER

From my expirience know that IM151-x are very sensitive in case of fault on attached modules. So, in this direction check one by one the modules in order to find eventually faulty one. From the begining is blinking only BF but if you disconnect the cable is starting to blink SF too...I think there is a problem with some of modules... Please also tell me about the A1,B1 and A2,B2 rule (connection rules). How to start the loop and then in between and then end connector setting . Please help I am struglling since 4-5 days with this. Any docs which gives complete guideline for Profibus conneciton and troubleshooting ? Please give . DEXTER
