Intouch and PLCsim

CGR013 Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	Hi, I need to modify an Intouch V8 application, Im trying to simulate the program in plcsim, and everything seems to be fine (see picture) in SMC, all tags seems to communicate and are in green, but the write status says -Pending- and the write status - complete- With the wonderware client application, I can Poke the variables the scada respond ok, giving the corresponding alarms. But when I try to use the PLCsim, nothing happens, the changes in the plcsim, does not make anything in intouch. Also, in the NetToPLCSim, the windows show me connected to PLCsim and to the IP adress, but it stays there. No read requests or write requests are shown. Ideas? Thanks a Lot. RameshK Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi CGR013, You have touse the actual PLC or you can use theWinLC RTXas CPU in theHardware configuration for testing. You have to configure your PC as WinLC by using Station Configurator (Simatic net). Then you can force the tag values in WinLC and view the changes in Intouch.

I didn't try with Intouch 8.0 but with 9, 9.5 and 10 simulation works pretty good. Take a look at /tf/WW/en/Posts/42660 Hope you will find answer of your problem. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

CGR013 Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	I'll try... lets see.. I also tryed without the PLCsim, and in the SMC, all is in green, It seems it does not care if PLC sim is in RUN ot STOP. So, I dont habe reallya connection to PLCsim.

The idea is to make simulation of PLC program. if you send from PLCSIM integer value 10 to Intouch' tag to see this there. So to finish this issue with success, please specify version of PLCSIM there. this is very important. best regards, Hristo Mihalev

I faced problem when tried to simulate with PLCSIM to Intouch. Then I used WinLC configuration and successfully simulated the tags from WinLC and viewed the changes in Intouch. I have read the link provided by you. In that also the problem was not solved as per the last post from drozerce (Hi Hristo, still nothing. Here in attach I'm sending you the list with port from command promt (this is ok, I think) In the next mail I'll send to you a screen shot of alarm page that I made from my application. You can see that the alarms are shown and for the database says:Connected (This says that my Dasserver configuration is ok). Is there anywhere else where I can see some reports, why I cann't make connection?

CGR013 Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	Hi, Im using the last PLCsim, I also downloaded the last SP yesterday (SP4), i was using SP3 with ethernet connection. I dont know what happends, because, the Net2Plcsim, appears connected to plcsim, and also tho the IP adress, but nothing more.. its like theres no communication between intouch and net2plcsim. I will try with another intouch version and a clean proyect, to see what happens. I was making some tests and now I see that SMC does not make any difference. Thanks for your support. If you habe any idea, please, let me know.
