IPC 427C, backup with new compact flash memory

Hello,

                    I have SIMATIC MICROBOX PC IPC 427C, in that there is a memory card which has 4GB capacity. If i want make backup for the PC, how can i take backup with new compact flash memory? How can i install windows XP and all other supporting software? pl suggest a solution.

Hello,

for the IPC is a Tool available for Backup/Restore.
Image & Partition Creator

With this tool you can create a USB Stick which you can use to make a Image from you IPC Flash Card and restore it to another Card.

You can check if you can use another free Backup/Restore SW which boot from a USB Stick to do this task.

With a Image you must not install the OperationSystem / Tools.

                         Thank you for your information. I have tried with ghost.exe file for taking back-up from the existing memory card through bootable pen drive and restored in new memory card. Its working fine.

he used the program ghost, like you can read in the post.
SIEMENS provide Paragon SW on the ServiceSticks for a image.

If you would not use the Siemens Tools for creating a image do the following steps:

create a bootable USB Stick with the Image Tool you want (Paragon, Acronis, ghost, what you like)
insert the stick and power on the IPC
Press F12 during the start to enter the bootmenu
select the stick as bootmedium and start from the USB
now follow the steps of you image tool to create a image
