Niklas_MC Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi. I'm trying to configure Profinet IRT on a CPU 314C-2PN/DP. I want it to communicate with a module from Innovasic (RapID-NI-V2107 Profinet IRT Network Interface module). I'm using Step 7 v 5.5. I get the communication to work with Profinet RT. Step 7 finds the module on the network and can communicate with it. But when I try to do this with IRT there is a communication error. Symptoms: 1)The SF LED is constantly red. 2)The BF2 LED is flashing red. 3)In the HW Config window in online mode the communication diagnostics for the CPU says "IRT (top performance) is not posible at this point. The status for the Module says Module not available (I/O access error or parameter assignment error) 4)The program that worked just fine with RT does nothing now. I know the the module works and that the wireing is correct. I'm assuming it's something with the configuration (and yes the CPU is set to sync master and the module to sync slave=) I don't have any experience with PLC programming and if you have any advice or pointers it would be very appreciated. Thank you

Do you configure this? you need to select the send clock in the sync domain dialog (Edit > PROFINET IO > Domain Managementmenu command). Do you? A special program is not necessary, only configuration. The PLC you use needs Firmware V3.3 or higher. Is it? I can see that the two ports are connected visualy in Step 7, and they are set as each others partner ports. But when I click "online" in the configuration window all connections become red. 2. Send clock is set to 1 ms (shortest possible). Do I need to add the clock somehow? Or is it included when it is set in the syncdomain? 3. Firmware version is confirmed to be 3.3 4. In HW config window -> right clock on CPU->PROFINET IO Isochronous mode (attached picture). Should this really be empty? Attachment isoc.JPG (305 Downloads)

So a Ti/To time can't be calculated. Regards Christoph

But is this then the likley error source for the failed communication (see the original post)? And can it be corrected by a new GSDML file? Attachment hwcfg_error.JPG (210 Downloads)

If this is the reason of the failure i dont't know. There are not enough informations in the post. what is in the diagnostic buffer of PLC? is the device found in the list of accessible nodes? have the device the correct IP and Nameof Station? Is some device internal configuration need ? Regards Christoph
