Is it possible to 'connect' the button again to the dark style?

If you choose a button from the toolbox which has a dark style and then pick a new background color, let's say purple, the background color of the button does not change anymore when changing the style from dark to bright.

When you change it back to the original dark background color, it also won't change to bright anymore.

Is it possible to 'connect' the button again to the dark style?
