Is it possible to get the user roles in runtime?

My goal is to highlight if the logged in user has administrative permissions.

I had to do something similar for a project.

I had a series of hidden objects on my header screen that had user authentication for my different user groups. Each had a script that checked their operability and if they were operable, set a bit to indicate that user group was active.
