I think the error occured when you select the Adopt MAC Mode. I would suggest to start over again since I'm not sure what kind of changes you already did in the settings.

1. Reset both devices as is stated in the manual. Power Off, press the reset button located near the C-PLUG for 10 seconds till the F-LED stops blinking.

2. Give the ddevices an IP-Address with the Primary Setup Tool

3. Walk through the basic wizards of both devices. Please be sure that you set the SSID exactly the same (whatch Capital letters). Select on both devices the same Wireless standard (e.g. 802.11g or 802.11a). If the wizards is finished reboot the device via the WBM.

if the clients prompts you to set the MAC MOde please set this to Layer 2 tunnel. It supports every possible use case when you use a SCALANCE W AP ass Access Point.

4. Your devices should be communicating without any problems.

5. Start with the security wizard. Be aaware that this would cause your communciation to stop during the setup since both need to be fully configured before they can connect again.
