Is there a limit for number of connections in wincc?

EULER1313 Posts: 86 Rating: (1)	Hi all, In WinCC I added (Simatic S7 Protocol Suite) as a new driver... i created TCP\IP connections to many PLCs.. when i check (Status Of Driver Connections) i find that some of them OK. And some Disconnected. they could change their statuses but always 4 connections are disconnected.. I ping the IPs of the disconnected PLCs by (RUN>>cmd) they respond.. Is there a limit for number of connections in wincc? Howcan Ichange this option?

EULER1313 Posts: 86 Rating: (1)	Hi all, As I mentioned now i have 3 connections disconnected... One of them responds when i ping it via (cmd>>ping) but Wincc See it as disconnected. i checked the license (softnet). It`s ok. How can solve this Connection?

candyengineer Silver Member Joined: 5/17/2006 Last visit: 8/28/2023 Posts: 218 Rating: (26)	Hello Euler1313, With Softnet S7 Lean licence ,you can have upto 8 plc connections (its freewith wincc) Softnet S7 Adv. (softnet full licence), you can have upto 64 Connections. if you mean opposite way plc with wincc , every S7-300 CPU can communicate with 4 op station (if im wrong experts will correct) Best regards.
