Dear Sir,

I have configured an HSC and i read the address ID1000 in order to measure the pulses succesfull.

I want to measure a number of pulses and when it reach a given number    ( for example 10 pulses), i want to to make HSC to coumt down.

I' m trying to use CONTROL HSC function with no result. 

Is there any example for direction count up and down for HSC?

I use TIA PORTAL V13 with a CPU 1214C DC/DC/RLY.

I will try explain better my question.

I have  a sensor which counts the rotations of an axle of a motor.

I want to count the sensor with an HSC.

I have implemented HSC1 in a CPU 1214C through TIA PORTAL V13. I can measure the pulses of the sensor from address ID1000.

Now, i want to make it that when the HSC reaches at one givven value ( 10 for example ) i want to change direction to count down.

I have tried to use CTRL_HSC instruction with no result.

I have understood the followings from system manual for CTRL_HSC:

1) In order to change direction, i need to set DIR parameter and then change the value of NEW_DIR parameter from 1 to -1. Is it right?

2) I can still read the counter value at address ID1000 or after change direction, the counter value is located to 'NEW_CV' parameter?

I finally managed it through the following way:

1) I use CTRL_HSC function as you mentioned

2) I did RV=1 and i created a tag which takes the values 1 and -1 for NEW_RV

3) NEW_CV= Current counter value 

It works very well

I did not use interrupt because the sensing time i bigger than program execution time.
