As we upgrade from S7-300 to S7-1500, our PC communication program will be also update. In the age of s7-300, s7-400, Prodave did his good job, as some open source program like libnodave and snap7.

For s7-1500, is there a good way to communicate with PC software? I tested sanp7 in C#, but it seem it may fail in some unknown cases. Also, I found send/fetch is no longer supported and no documents provided.

Is there any good way or example? Please no OPC or OPC UA, as we may use embedded XP.

How about TCP by using the TSEND_C and TRCV_C? Does the embedded XP rule out OPC UA?

 TSEND_C TRCV_C ist good, but how can I handle data in C# or VB? Is there any example? Just tell me the name.

this communication can be done via sockets or look to MSDN examples due your .NET version. Also here in forum was good example how connect to S7 via VB Net with user communication case.

Why don´t you want to use OPC UA? You haven´t to use Siemens OPC Server  for accessing S71500 PLC. With V2.0 Firmware of S71500 you could load a OPC Server direct on the S71500 controler. SO you only need a OPC UA Client on the PC Program.

Do not compare OPC UA to OPC DA!!! With UA the Usage is much better and less complicated.

I will try OPC UA. As I used opc before, it needs Siematic NET or something else, which is big and too complex  to maintenance. 

Do you have any OPC UA exmple or information? Anything is OK, I use a lot open source app, maybe I will develop an open source one.
