Hello Mako2 the "service" that is used for the S7-300 configured ISO-on-TCP connection is Send/Receive based, and they had to use TCON, TSEND etc. blocks in the 300 as it is the only way to do so via its on board PN port. You can though definitely use AG_SEND/AG_RECV in your S7-400/CP443-1 adv. based station (which is what I would do). Should you have a GX20 or GX30 CP443-1 adv. though, you could also use TCON, TSEND etc., so you are spoilt for choice. Have a look too at the two links below for more on this:

This example is for data exchange between S7-300 and S7-400 but with AG_SEND at S7-300...
