The current aim is to study how to connect two S7-1200 (FW4.2) PLCs with each other using the ISO-on-TCP protocol. The example code I am evaluating is: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/67196808 The first issue for me is that I have only Step7 Basic license. The configuration of the S7-1500 partner in the project, is a mystery. Looking at the project there are two things that bothers me: 1. The TSAP array is 3 characters: 1, 2 and 3. That is for both local and partner as defined in the S7-1200 program. From my research this is not a legal TSAP. 2. The S7-1500 program does not seem to be complete. Even though I cannot see the code, the code blocks used are there. In comparison the S7-1200 has several code blocks (OB1, OB100, FC100, FC200). I am asking if it is possible for someone to verify that the given example is working.. at least per simulation. It would be most welcome if someone can direct me to a sample that uses x2 S7-1200. My longer term target is to design a network that utilizes 5 PLCs in a network where each PLC has 2 partners. Each partnered connection has send and receive abilities. In advance my thanks for your attention. |
