Im having issues loading an existing project onto a TP700 comfort panel. The exsiting project is currently used on TP177 panels. I am trying to connect to TP700 via profibus thru a A2 USB adapter and WinnCC 2008 SP3, which I am finding the A2 adapter can not be used for this particular panel?? Does anyone have advice on how I can get this project on this panel. Profibus is the only network protocol the screen resides on. Again, thanks for your assistance in this matter.

Thank you for your reply. We have not had a use for TIA in our facility but it looks like the time has come as we have many many older 177B panels that will eventually be replaced. I have the panel connected to the profibus that it will reside on and have not try to direct connect.

From my understanding from researching this, to load a new or pre-existing project to this panel will require the TIA portal software and an upgrade to new generation version of WinCCC flexible that I currently use. Is this correct?

There is not a newer version of WinCC Flexible than 2008 SP3. You have to upgrade it ti TIA portal V14. There are different version depending on your hardware. if you buy TIA Portal WinCC Comfort it's possible for you to program all Siemens Panels on the market now.

You have to migrate your panel into the TIA portal and change the device to TP700. The new panels have a different layout, Old Panels were 4:3, the new panels are 16:9

If your Flexible 2008 SP3 is Standard, It should be 6AV2101-4BB04-0AK5 you need for upgrading and you should consider a Software Update Servce 6AV6612-0AA00-0AY0

You have to check the numbers are correct before ordering.
