As from the topic mention above, I have a favor from you guys. I want to ask about the IWLAN Client Module SCALANCE W748-1 M12.

- It is compatible or can connect to other IWLAN Access Point such as SCALANCE W788-1RR and other Access Point?

Currently the existing IWLAN Client Module is using W747-1RR to connect to the IWLAN Acesss Point W788-1RR but since the existing IWLAN Client Module is obsolete, it will be change to the W748-1 M12.

they are not the same. See the technical data, what interfaces the devices have.

SCALANCE W747-1RR

SCALANCE W748-1 M12

Especially the electrical connection for network components or terminal equipment is different.

Check your system suits this.

It is because I just want to communicate between the wireless client W748-1 M12 to the wireless AP W788-1RR.

What is the solution for this? Is it need to use the W747-1RR to be communicate to W788-1RR back?

I think they can communicate. Therefore you have to have a look on the wireless data. I just wanted to say that the W747-1RR can not easily exchanged by the W748-1 M12 because of the electrical interfaces.

The wireless specifications of the client moduls are:

SCALANCE W747-1RR

SCALANCE W748-1 M12
