Javascript access to array delcared in HMI tags

How does one go about creating a local array which references an array delcared in HMI tags? I have tried the following , but it returns f (). I want it to return an array.

let ts = Tags.CreateTagSet('HMI_readOnly_AlarmWord');

Background -

I have a script I want to iterate through elements of a DINT array. The array is declared in HMI tags, and linked to a PLC tag.

I want to use for forEach method to automatically iterate through all elements of the array (in case the array length is ever changed).

Thanks for the tip, though I'm still struggling to find a way to address the array declared in HMI tags.

I haven't got a problem with the forEach method.

Hello, to help you get ideas, take a look at the attachment, in the Unified F1 help, there is a syntax example, try to make a simple one to test first.

use RTILtraceViewer for debugging.

The video is excellent, but doesn't address Javascript access to arrays delcared in HMI tags unforunately.

Attached is a screenshot of the project and TraceViewer log. It seems the .Read() method does not work for arrays delcared in HMI tags. 

rdoliveira, thank you for your efforts, but the challenge is not in addressing the array elements, it is in addressing the array header.

I want to do it this way to future-proof against changes to the array length and the consequential requirement to modify the script. Cross-reference information for HMI tags do not include usages in scripts, so future-proofing the script is more important.

• If the script addresses the array elements, it would need modifying every time the array length changed.
• If the script addresses the array header, it would not need modifying if the array length changed.

However, I no longer need the script. It's purpose was to monitor the alarm words (a DWORD array) for a change in value to indicate a change in alarm state. I've instead achieved this using a task in the scheduler with an alarms-based trigger.
