JUR operation

lambertws Posts: 58 Rating: (0)	I am not sure and want to know how the JUR operation work. I cannot understand the explanation in p928ben.pdf and do not have s5 cpu to try on. If I have this code: . . M015 : JUR 4 M018 : BLD 176 JUR 5 AN F 254.0 AN F 255.0 A F 219.0 AN F 218.0 AN F 254.2 AN F 254.1 JC M020 R F 236.1 . . does it mean that when M015 is jumped to (JUR 4 executed), the program will jump to AN F 255.0 code line (will this line be executed or the line below A F 219.0)? and if the JUR 5 executed, the program will jump to AN F254.2 (or AN F254.1)?

rosi Posts: 23 Rating: (3)	Dear lambertws, It is better to use the normal jump operations than the system opearatiopns. In the manual it is very good described, please refer to the attachment. I have read that part before, but I am still not sure. Can you point the right operation of my code? The JUR4 will jump to AN F255.0 or to A F219.0 or somewhere else? Thank you..

Open the block that contains the JUR x instruction 3. Turn on addresses by pressing SHIFT F1 4. Go to the line that contains the JUR x instruction (for e.g. at address 0019) 5. In my example the destination address of the JUR 4 instruction will be the instruction at line with address 0019hex + 4 = 001Dhex What kind of block is using the JUR instruction, are you sure this block is still needed in converted S7 program? This is my code with the register address 0113 M015 :JUR 4 0115 M018 :BLD 176 0116 :JUR 5 0118 :AN F 254.0 0119 :AN F 255.0 011A :A F 219.0 011B :AN F 218.0 011C :AN F 254.2 011D :AN F 254.1 If my line now is on JUR 5 (0116), then it will move to AN F218.0 (0116hex + 5 = 011Bhex) or AN F254.2 (0117hex + 5 = 011Chex)? The code line is in FB176 IPD-REG, Siemens Function Block for modular PID and fuzzy control. I learn the code to help me understand how the block works because I could not find some information by reading the Modular PID Manual only. @rosi, thank you for the picture.

lambertws Posts: 58 Rating: (0)	Thanks Bevee and rosi. I get it now. Yes, I now use the S7 Modular PID block. I just wanted to make sure how the block works because I dont have s5 CPU with me (Therefore, I cannot try-and-error) and I am rather not sure about my understanding of the s5 Modular PID Manual.
