Kepware OPC server and excel

monchotbs Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi everybody! I need to make a new application using Kepware OPC server and Excel to link to a S7 PLC by Siemens and to read data from DB's or marks... I was trying some examples catched in the webs but Im not able to read data through the excel file. Everything works beetween PLC and Kepware, the problem is to tranfer information to excell. I was reading about SIMATIC.NET OPC sever but I dont have license and I cannot buy one by now. I was reading as well about specific software to connect to excel from an OPC server, but I would like to do it only using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code. So I do a generic application. Maybe someone of you have an application like this or can tell me some advice Thanks so much!!

I have attached the relevant part for you to go through. It contains a sample VBA script. Since the example uses the Siemens WinCC OPC server and Siemens OPC DAAutomation 2.0 reference, you will have to make relevant changes in the script for Kepware server and the reference. gt9606a Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Sorry to respond to an old post, but the information you provided was fantastic! The pdf file detailing how to link Excel to an OPC server was spot on. I've been able to do this using Visual Basic, but for some reason always had trouble with VBA in Excel. Thanks!
