Andrés_Ariza Experienced Member Joined: 9/3/2014 Last visit: 3/7/2024 Posts: 79 Rating: (4)	Dear Experts, I am trying to read a CPU 6ES7314-6BG03-0AB0 program with TIA PORTAL V12, I need to make a backup, but when I read the program some blocks show an error message, those messages are: For example, the Cpu Used does not support the block DB200 and other message is, blocks loaded from a s7300 / 400 module SCL can not be processed, Would you can to help me, explain me these problems and how can I solve? Thank you so much for your collaboration, Best Regards, Can you contact the people or company that originally created the software for a backup? If not, you may be out of luck gettinga complete backup of unsupported items. It may be they have copy protected those two items, preventing them from being backed up. You might be able to use a memory card (properly supported Siemens compatible MMC) to backup the PLC program, but this is dangerous since it REMOVES the PLC program and puts it on the memory card only. Then you may be able to backup the memory card or make a duplicate. Once you have a copy of what is on the memory card, you should be able to reinstall the memory card and transfer the program back to the PLC and restart the system. Be advised, I have not done this and it is not the preferred method, but if you are in need of replacing the PLC, this approach should be possible. Be sure the refer to the s7-1200 system manual on the use of the memory card for program transfer. And of course, you can contact your local Siemens distributor for support. Maybe they can send an applications engineer on site to help you recover the project safely. Lastly, you can contact Siemens via the Support Request option you see in the upper right of these forums.

I can´t contact with the supplier, the problem basically is that we need take some signals and measurements from the process, so We need to access to PLC program, the PLC is a s7-300, then, we would insert a FC block with the communication parameters, using step7, secondly we will use a s7-1200 CPU where we will get the signals and will process. Some partners say to me that the problem is TIA Software, therefore I´m trying the same process with step7 software and I have had not problems, Now the problems are the GSD archives and some blocks that have Know-How protection,
