there is a ktp 1000 dp basic panel witha exisiting software .

now i want to upload its software via wincc basic then make some change and download it again

but problem is i dont know how to  upload with pc adapter usb and wincc basic .

in tia portal when i press accessible nodes its just show panel as accessible device dont  show panel name

 Hello ,

you can't upload backup if you haven't select transfer back during downloading.

You may upload backup with use of prosave but it may not modify. You can download uploaded backup only in same device.

Perhaps the following topic might help:

How do you backup/restore with a Comfort Panel?

It is not possible to open and process the backup file with WinCC (TIA Portal). The file can only be downloaded to the original or another panel of the same type with a restore procedure.

Uploading the project is not possible for Comfort panels up to now.

may be Siemens solve this problem in the future.

You can use Prosave but just to take backup from the image file downloaded to the panel.

This image is not editable. You can use Prosave once again to restore the same image to another Panel have same part number.

Prosave is a free software and If you have any SIMATIC HMI software installed on your PC. You will found it installed as well.

Here's bellow the cable needed to use with your panel and other Simatic Panels as well.

Which connector cables are available for connecting to SIMATIC Panels?

Actually there are two methods :

1) Have an identical HMI , download the project and make a backup using the HMI's menus to an USB key.

2) Use the tool of TIA WinCC that creates a .ZIP with an exe that can target your device and download the program.

Unfortunately Siemens hasn't (YET??) realized that if TIA would be able to make a runtime file that can be easily transferred via USB then it would be a great tool.

Other brands like A&B can create the small runtime file easily without prosave or other tricks.

 Dear 2rostkar , 

 You can upload backup using Prosave , This backup is a file which cannot be open and modify . but you can download it back to the same device or other device with same part No. 

If you want to modify the backup , You need the Original backup.  You can modify there and Download it again .
