Hello,

You best use profibus cable and connectors.
If you want to make cable yourself, find attached pinout.

3--------3 RS485 B
5--------5 Ground
8--------8 RS485 A

I am using ktp 600 Basic Colour DP.

I want communication between KTP 600 with a Third party Modbus Device (VFD) Over RS-485.

Can I use the Same Pin Out.

Hi.

The RS485 link will be the same.. regardless of the protocol communicated on it. I could however not find a manual which have the pinouts for the DB9 connector to give to you as reference.

I am however a little more concerned about what you want to do with the KTP600
- which software do you intend to use to configure it?
- which communication driver do you intend using?

I succeeded to establish  communication between ktp 600 & ABB Drive.

I used the Same Pin Connections.

I used Wincc Flexible with Modicon Modbus Driver With RTU Standard Framing.(CPU Type-984)
