Thank you very much Pittiplatsch for your so kind suggestion. The communication between PLC CPU 1511-1 PN and KTP700 BASIC works fine even we use and unmanaged switch as well we use a CISCO switch. The problem happens when we want to connect the development PC (with S7 professional V13 upd.4 and Wincc basic) to the KTP700 BASIC. The example you addressed me talks about connection between CPU315-2pn/dp and ET200s (via IM151-pn) . I don’t know which kind of low level protocol is used by KTP700 BASIC vs PLC or vs the development PC. By the KTP700 BASIC specifications, it seems supporting Profinet but also other communications standards and protocols, including the "LLDP" for instance. The next managed switch we used on the field is a IE-2000-8TC-G-B but the factory network infrastructure is much more complex and also other switches, routers, etc are involved. For describing the VLAN structure, layers etc. I need to speak with our IT experts, whom I forwarded your suggested link. Basically my question is, must I use a KTP Comfort series (instead a Basic Panel) to have the same situation in past (CPU 31x – PN, OP177B touch colour, development PC with S7 V5.5 and WinCC Flexiblee compact 2008)? |
