I would like to use a SIMATIC KTP900 Basic HMI module in order to visualize and control the automation tasks of the various LOGO!8 controllers. 1. Is it possible to connect and set up SIMATIC KTP900 Basic HMI for use with LOGO! 2. Do I need additional communication module which to be the gateway between the simatic series and the logo series? You can use the KTP900 Basic to visualize data from the LOGO!s. 2.) No, you do not need an additional communication module. But a basic HMI can only be connected directly with 4 LOGO!s. If you want to network more than 4 LOGO!s with the HMI, you have to collect the datas e.g. in one LOGO!.

Using the KTP900 can I assign virtual touch buttons to the Inputs in my LOGO! program? And when do i need LOGO! Communication Module KNX (CMK) 2000? Is it if I plan to integrate the LOGO! network with S7 SIMATIC network?

The CMK2000 you need, if you have the LOGO! want to connect to a KNX bus. See also on this Siemens page: LOGO! communication Do you want connect theLOGO! with S7, you need devices with Profinet on the S7 side.
