For Example if you are using L memory in FC1 then it is limilted to that block only. Let's say for your logic calculation in FC1 you have used LD0,LD4 and Addition of this two L Memory is coming in LD8.Then you can use LD8 result in that FC1 only. if you want to use LD8 Value in some other block then you have move it to DB Memory. Hope this helps.

Whats your purpose asking LB,LW etc? Are you doing some pointer application?

You can set symbolic in the L-data table, upper in any block. If you need screenshot, just ask.

bakerjw Posts: 126 Rating: (18)	Be sure to understand one aspect of L memory. It is volatile and can be changed by other FCs or FBs at the same level. example. In OB1 there are 2 FCs which both use L memory. Since they are both at the same level beneath of OB1 they can affect the L memory of each other So it is unwise to carry values from one scan to the next scan in L memory.
