L2 power LED doens't lit, although redundant 24VDC is available

Rosegarden Posts: 63 Rating: (0)	Hello all, in our company we have several 8-ports scalance switches.All of them are powered by redundant powersupply, althoughon some of themthe L1 or L2 LEDdoesn't lit's up. Onall lines (L1 en L2) there is 24VDC available, it can be measuredwith a multimeter. I can't read something about this error in the manual (it's a X308-2 type 6GK5 308-2FL00-2AA3 ), there is only a little about portmonitoring although this is swtiched off in the webserver of the device. Does anyone have a clue what this error may cause the L1 or L2 LED swithed off ? Best regards.

See Chapter 7.4 and 7.5 of the following manual: SIMATIC NET Industrial Ethernet Switches SCALANCE X-300 Operating Instructions This mode can be changed by pushing the SET/SELECT Button briefly. Meaning of the LED in Display mode: L1/L2: Status off Power supply L1 / L2 is not monitored. If L1 / L2 falls below 17 V *), the signaling contact does not respond.

RugbyGuy Silver Member Joined: 1/15/2009 Last visit: 4/19/2024 Posts: 316 Rating: (40)	You could find out perhaps what the fault is if you enter the IP address of the switch into 'Internet Explorer' and use the Web based monitoring/programming, from here you can see what are the faults for the entire switch, But I also think you may have low voltage........

Rosegarden Posts: 63 Rating: (0)	Hello INSand RugbyGuy, I have measured the powerlines on the switches but they are farabove 17VDC. When I press the Set/Select button the LED's are switches modes but one of the power LED's is still o'ff when the 'operation mode' is choosen. In the webserver whithin the switch it says the the 2nd powerline is down butthe webserver also say's there is no fault. There is 25 VDC on the switch, on both powerlines. Could it be that the powerconnection of the switch is broken ? Regards.
