Large Data transfer between ET200 Pro CPUs

rageshn Member Joined: 9/4/2013 Last visit: 3/25/2025 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hello Friends, I have an application where we have 2 ET200 Pro PLCs and we need to send about 2000 Bytes of data between them . The 2 PLCs are connected to each other using a Plant Network and we have also the ability to connect them using ethernet cable also using scalance switch. Any help on what FC/FB to use , any sample reference , any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ragesh

And use the blocs BSEND/BRECV that allows the transfer of up to 64000 bytes with one job. The ET200Pro CPU behaves like an S7-300 CPU. I studied the BSEND and BRCV functions from the link jklm gave me and looks good to me. However, i have never configured anything using netpro, so that is also going to be some work for me. I still have to read what "connection resource" and "TSAP" means in netpro. In the past i have been suggested to use tsend (fb63) and tcon (fb65) so there is no need to configure anything in netpro. Any specific reason to use one over another ? I felt by reading that bsend and brcv like you suggested is easier even though netpro has to be configured. Thank you for your help, Ragesh

STEP7 will compute the right resources for you. Very easy. If you cannot use the same project for both, make a in each project a connection to an unspecifeid partner. Than specify in the address details IP adres of the partner, rack 0, slot 2, resource (take a free one like 11 for instance, for the ease take the same on both side). Do not forget to downloadboth PLCs with these new connection data.
