led blinks red after starting

jnybacka Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have 4 DM16 230r connected to a Logo 230v. When powering up the logo and modules the two first moduled goes into green but the third and fourth module starts blinking red. Also when connecting with the PC I can not see the inputs or outputs of the two last modules. I have checked that the communication slider is completely slided over to the left, even tried to moved it back and forth several times as many posts suggests, I have also tried to move the power for the 3rd and 4th module on to own powersupply and powered them up before the logo, but no difference. Any idea what the blinking red led means and how to solve it? Br, Jonas

ixo65 Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 12/11/2024 Posts: 34391 Rating: (4286)	If the RUN / STOP LED is lits red, the expansion module can not communicate with the module on the left. As a rule, the contact slides have dirty contacts. Sometimes just enough simple, multiple back and forth to correct the contact problems. Or spray a electric contact spray on the contacts and then slide the slides back and forth several times. jnybacka Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	the led is not lite red, it's blinking. If I leave the communication slider not connected, then the led is just red, not blinking. So this seems to be something else.. Jonas

LOGO! Support Gold Expert Joined: 9/19/2018 Last visit: 12/6/2024 Posts: 399 Rating: (47)	As AutoGen_1801304 already told you exceed the maximum setup of LOGO! The last two expansion modules are blinking, because the LOGO! 0BA8 supports a maximum of 24 digital inputs, 20 digital outputs, 8 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs. The maximum setup with expansion modules is the LOGO! Basic module and two DM16 expansion modules. Here you got, for example Inputs: 8 Inputs (Basic module) + 8 Inputs + 8 Inputs (DM16) = 24 Inputs. For more In/Outputs you have to use a second LOGO! Basic module. More information for the maximum setup you can find in the manual. Johnluck Experienced Member Joined: 3/29/2012 Last visit: 9/11/2024 Posts: 61 Rating: (0)	You cannot use 4 DM16 on a single LOGO because LOGO can only accommodate 24 inputs and 20 outputs. You already have 8 inputs and 4 outputs in the basic module. You require just two more DM16 to complete your I/Os. Remove the last two DM16 and your problem will be solved. If you need more input and output for your project you need additional LOGO module.
