LED Message displays

Philip_BE Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello, Is there anybody having experience with controlling LED message displays like: http://www.ab.com/en/epub/catalogs/12762/2181376/1239781/1697484/tab4.html I want to use this to hang above machine to easely vieuw product temperature and weight. this should be added to an existing S7-1200 project. I think it should be possible trough RS232. Maybe anyone did this before or has a sample project? Thanks! Best regards, Philip

You would be better off gettinga simple beta-brite style display, get the rs232 module, create sample ascii commands, and concatenate your message information. A few hours of development after finding the comm protocol, and it should be working. I wonder if Siemens offers a similar product that works similarly to the AB LED msg displays.
