In picture attached you can see two max sensor. First max sensor is working primary. But when that sensor dirty or broken I need to use max 2 sensor as aux or safety. I need information how to parralel this two sensors. When sensor max 1 fails then I need to use max 2 sensor? Attachment levels.jpg (529 Downloads)

But I not need to detect alarm level, just to max2 sensor use role of max1 sensor if it fails. If not min and max1 set some bit. When material come to max1 reset. But if max1 always active, I need to use max2 as max1??? See attachment... I can do something with timer, check if max1 active more than 60s and then use max2. But I need to know is there any way to detect if one sensor fail to use second in same functionality as first. Attachment lev1.JPG (478 Downloads)

The second network is to set alarm if first sensor is faulty and second is activated, i guessed it's nice to know if sensor is faulty because if second sensor is faulty too (not knowing first sensor has a problem)after a while, you would have a Spill. I would above this detection make a timed alarm if filling takes to long. Regards, Marcjan

Yes but if I use OR instruction that will be reset filling only for max1 not for max2. If max1 sensor dirty, signal is 0 (because of NC). That mean that max1 level rached. I need to detect this and continue to use max2 to reset filling. You are right when you say that max2 level need to set alarm, but i need to continue to work...

(normaly closed) When material above min and above max1 then set P_bit and start filling hopper. When max1 reached stop filling for predefined time T1 or material above min sensor. When max1 dirty and give logic 0 and max2 reached set alarm and stop filling for predefined time or material above min sensor. Alarm stays set for time T1 or min sensor clear.

But if it works for you this way it's o.k. Lets hope the stuff you store in the tank is not to bad for the Enviroment, if it is you should use other sensors, Regards, Marcjan
