Hi Gents, been reading all these interesting topic's bout the modbus comm's. but did not found my question.

if i have a licensed modbus connection(MODBUS/TCP PN-CPU),  and i change the CPU, do i need to update/refresh/renew the license/REG_KEY??

in all the siemens manuals about licensing it is stated that when you enter the REG_KEY "the block is now licensed for this CPU"

so if you change the cpu new REG_KEY is required??

would you know if it is possible to "reactivate" the "old license" used on CPU nr #1 on the "new" CPU nr #2??

in my case the CPU died, so we needed to install a new one (successor of the old CPU)
