Lifebeat Monitoring for OS Servers

alceu Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello all, i`m working with a pair of redundant OS servers butthe lifebeat monitoring status of them is not consistent. One of them displays the real status of the network, but the other one displays it as if the connection to all clientsis disturbed. Anyway, if this last one assumes the master role, it communicates with the clients and the Lifebeat Monitoring screen is inconsistent at all clients. Do you have any idea of the reason? Thanks! Alceu

I wrote a document on setting this up and checking it. If I can find it I'll post it. (have to look through several hard drives). Funny thing, you may review the settings and not actually change anything, and it will start working properly. (I hate that when the client asks what you did to fix the problem, and I can't say exactly what I did that fixed it.) [edit] I found the document, but it had information proprietary to a specific client. This one, taken from a FAQ here on the support pages, will get you most of the way. For more info, do forum searches on DCOM and Lifebeat Monitoring. There are ~ 5 threads dating back as much as 12 months which I found helpful.
