Hi Wizard, The MLFB no of the CPU is 6ES5928-3UB12. The WinCC flexible version is 2008 SP3 (6AV6612-0AA51-3CA5. |

Hello Jonah; The acble required to connect the operator panel and a CPU 928B is shown in attachment below. The inofrmation omes from the following manual, chapter 7, "Communication with Simatic S5 controllers": SIMATIC HMI WinCC flexible 2008 Communication Part 1 You will need a 6ES5 734-1BD20 25 pin serial to TTY cable, with a 9-pin to 25-pin adapter on the operator panel side. However, this cable is no longer available from Siemens, you could look into ebay or search for more precise plans on the web if you decide to build it yourself. Some manufacturers (such as Phoenix Contacts or Helmholtz still provide serial to TTY converters you could use: PHOENIX CONTACT | Interface converter - PSM-ME-RS 232/TTY SSW4 RS232-TTY Converter Cable - Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
